Rhett is an award-winning Scifi/Fantasy Author currently publishing novels with Diversion Books and Random House Hydra. His work is also represented by the Dystel & Goderich Literary Agency. In short, he’s been involved in many different facets of the publishing industry and has worked with a handful of professional editors to hone his craft. So why does he want to edit? After spending a majority of his time in the New School Screenwriting Program critiquing story-structure, he realized his passion for helping people improve their work. He wants to offer his services to authors out there who might fear their writing isn’t good enough, and help them get the best story possible in front of potential agents, publishers or readers.
He primarily specializes in developmental/content editing, but will also gladly dive a little deeper with a full line edit. Turn-around times vary depending on his current schedule, however, he’ll try to keep the return time below 3-4 weeks and will determine a hard schedule with you before he starts. So please, check out the menu below about what he’d prefer to work on and if your’e interested in his services contact him at rcbruno44@outlook.com with the words EDITING QUERY in the subject line. You should include a brief synopsis of the book as well as the first 5-10 pages of your manuscript. Lastly, he generally requires a 50% down payment, with the completed work being sent once payment has been made in full at the end of the project. He will offer a free trial edit on the first 5 pages of your manuscript if you’re interested so that you can get a sense of his editorial style and can determine whether or not you’d be a good fit.
Thank you for your interest!

Testimonials
“I have had the opportunity to work with Rhett as my editor on my first novel manuscript. I choose Rhett to be my editor as he is an accomplished author himself. I found him to be a fast and efficient editor. He communicates his ideas clearly, is positive about your work, but at the same time is not afraid to point out your weaknesses. He went above and beyond what was required, providing me with a detailed line edit, invaluable aid in character and story development, eliminating of plot holes and cutting of superfluous and weak content. He also stayed in touch via email with comments and engaged in discussions on plot changes, directions and character growth. I can say without a doubt I will be using Rhett’s services again. I have a substantial amount of work to do now on my manuscript. But even after the first 12 chapters, it already reads far better. It is more attention grabbing, the characters are more driven and their motivations are clear. The story has grown and matured. I cannot recommend Rhett enough.” – Conor Newman, author of SHADOWBLADE[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
